Axim Replacement Batteries

I have an Axim X3. I notice PLENTY of 'replacement' batteries available on eBay with varying capacities. Are there any known quantities among these? Also, are the high-capacity ones (1700/1800/2000 mAh and larger) the same size as the original 950 mAh one - or the 1200 mAh one - or even larger?

I found that a battery just like the one mine came with was $90 some at Dell. I went on Ebay and bought a larger one for $20. The size of the battery is larger. However, they send with it a new back piece that is larger to fit on to your PDA that replaces your old back piece (just throw the older one in the drawer for use at a later time if need be). With the new battery installed the PDA still fits in the holder.
Great buy and it holds a charge for a much longer time.

Welcome to the site to the both of you!

Higher capacity batteries will always be larger in size, unless otherwise specified (e.g., Mugen makes some higher capacity ones for the X50/X51 series, not sure about X3/X30, that almost the same size as the regular ones but they cost a premium), but as skeeterdew mentioned, they will typically come with a new battery door.

yddraiggoch, what do you mean by "any known quantities"?
