Worried how do I silent active sync upon connection?

My laptop would give a loud beep each time I connect/syncing my pda with active sync 4.5. Does anyone experience this? Is there a way to silent this? This has been bugging me for years, I tend to mute my laptop whenever I remember but this becomes a hassle when I am listening to mp3 via my laptop. Please I've been looking at my laptop setting and googling for a way to do this, but my effort has been in vain. :(

On your PC go to Control Panel/Sounds and Audio devices
Click on the sounds Tab
In the Program events box scroll down to Microsoft ActiveSync
Click on Connect Confirm
then select "None" in the sounds Box.

Click OK or Apply and you should be good to go.
