All that I want to do is use the internet on my axim through the cradle hooked up to the usb port and use my current cable modem that I use for my pc, and yes I'm not that techy.

Is there a question in there somewhere?

You need to connect your axim Via ActiveSync (XP) or WMDC (Vista) and you will be able to use the PCs internet connection.

AS and WMDC are available from here.

Why you don't use wi-fi? It's easier to set up and you don't need any cable at all.
