Windows Mobile 5 continually loading?

Hi,

For some reason WM shows the "loading" logo every few seconds. I am referring to the red, green, blue, and yellow square with a circle in the middle; the circle has a rotating timer like effect. When it shows the logo, it only does it for a second or so. What can I do to get rid of this?

Thanks.

First, try a soft reset.

Then, you would need a program like MemMaid (Shareware) or Pocket Task Manager (Freeware) to show what's running on your Axim.

If you report back with a list, we might be able to find out what's causing that loading logo...

Went away with a soft reset. Strange since I tried that earlier. If it comes back I'll let you know.

Thanks for a simple solution.

So the issue is back - unfortunately (seems to go away at least temporarily after a reset). What information from MemMaid would be the most helpful? To furthur clarify, this happens on the 'Today' screen.

Check your Windows/Startup folder to see what apps are
being initiated on bootup and post what they are.

If you are using MemMaid, you should tell us these things:

Startup Items (4th icon from the right). Tell us which items have the green circle/dot next to them.
Today Plug-ins (Also 4th icon from the right, use the upper-left hand corner drop down menu to change)
Running Processes (Last icon from the left, use the drop down menu to change to "Running Processes")

Deleted a few programs to that enhance the interface and the problem is gone. May reload them one by one and see when the issue comes back.
