I found a good deal on a X50v on Craigslist ($100 complete, + case, + extra batteries + keyboard + CF card).

I know like any computer they can have problems, What are some things I should look for that would point to hardware or software problems ?

You could put it in diagnostic mode-power+record+soft reset button on the back, other than that I think I would test to see if the sd/cf slots work, the hardware buttons,lock switch, and tap around on the screen to see if there are any dead spots.

Add to what has been previously mentioned the base connector. That is what failed on my X50V.

I tested everything, and it worked so I bought it,:approve: A very impressive piece of hardware.
It seems to be working fine, though I can’t get the keyboard to transmit in secure mode, I’m sure I’ll find the answer here somewhere.
