Help on connecting phone

Hi,
I got stuck on this... please help. I have installed spb phone suite to my X51V and I have a cellphone Motorola KRZR K1. I wanna dial thru my X51V -> Motorola. I am able to pair the two devices (I am able to transfer a file from cellphone to pda), but I have no way to dial from my pda. When I tried dial, it keeps saying that my phone is off, and msg "A wireless radio must be attached to use the phone."

I also check the bluetooth connection page... but no COM port device allowed me to select...

Could anyone help =(

The SPB Phone suite is designed for SmartPhone. You need a device with phone capabilities (Aka Smartphone) to utilize the suite. The Axim is a Pocket PC, not a SmartPhone. So you installed the wrong software on the wrong device.

Why would you want to dial through the Axim? You can directly call using your Razr. Are you trying to use a data connection through your Razr for your Axim?

Thanks John,

Hehe, so it is a wrong software.. =P
Yes, I still wanna dial thru my pda to phone. I wanna use it especially when I was driving ( I have a handfree of course), so that I can mount my pda in my car and dial out thru it. Is there anyway to do it?

Are you using Windows Mobile 5? It works on WM6.1 and WM6.5.

I believe Bluetooth com ports are generally 7 and 8. Give those a try.

Only com port 8 gaves me a different response: "No Bluetooth serial port s could be found for device Motorola Phone". Is it only a matter of my phone? Thanks

Com port 8 is Bluetooth Outgoing and Com port 7 is Bluetooth Incoming.

Did you check the Bluetooth services on your phone to see if "Serial Port" was enabled? If there is no option for that, you phone does not support it.

To transfer a file, the two devices use a service either called OBEX (OBjext EXchange) file push or just plain "File Transfer". Bluetooth serial port is another service entirely.

Since you cannot find that option, you do not have the service. So, unfortunately, you cannot utilize Bluetooth dialing.
