I just purchased an Axim x50v and it has the original rom version A01. I downloaded A05 but have had no success backing up the rom to proceed with the upgrade.

I wanted to upgrade because it shows no services available for my bluetooth ear piece.

Any help would be appreciated

Upgrading the ROM won't help you with your BT problem.

The Axims have some limitations in their BT profiles and the newer your BT ear piece is the more unlikely it is to work.

You can have a look at the Widcomm Drivers, they can add more functionality but nothing is perfect.
