Wireless greyed out...why?
Start>settings>system tab>power>wireless tab.

Always greyed out. What does it do / mean and when to use it?

Anyone?

I suppose it depends what WiFi card and driver you use. I have the Dell card and the option can be used to switch off the wireless signals to save the battery.
I can also tap on the network icon on top of screen to switch on/off the signals
