Help, please. I've not been able to get ActiveSync properly installed on my desktop running Windows XP Pro. I've rebooted my machine and done a hard reset with the Axim to no avail. During installation I get as far as getting the "Get Connected" window. I then connect the cradle to a USB port with the Axim in it and with the power cord plugged into a wall socket. I do get a temporary "Found New Hardware" window. I do get a "Mobile Device" listed in "My Computer" but I cannot transfer files. Sometimes, in the "Get Connected" window the message will say "Connected" but I am unable to transfer anything and the message will change to "Not Connected" within a minute. One set of instructions say a "Partnership" window should appear but it hasn't for me.

Second question is can I transfer files onto a CompactFlash card first, and then use them in the Axim while I try to resolve the installation problem?
