ROM memory vs CF or SD card

Is there any particular advantage to putting things in the ROM storage rather than on a CF or SD card? I understand that the ROM survives Hard Resets and what not, but beyond that, are there programs or information that are better suited for ROM instead of being plunked on a card?

Thanks.

Also, what you're calling the "ROM" (actually RAM) is waaaaaay faster than any CF or SD card. Games like Sorcery PDA actually cannot run fast enough on an SD card to be playable. Installing it to the main RAM make it at least run quickly...

No, I really meant ROM. Doesn't the Axim advanced have a ROM file store section like some of the Ipaqs?

And thanks for the link. That helped a lot.

Yes, it's referred to as "Built-in Memory" (at least with PPC02 - I assume that's the same with WM03). It's actually slower than RAM and I believe slower than the sd and CF cards. I use mine for some drivers (network cards and keyboard) and to store a copy of the backup. The thing you don't want to do is use it for a program that does a lot of read/write activity to the memory.
