How to network axim and laptop?
This new thread goes to ikehiker or to anybody who can help...
After posting here about how to connect without the sync cradle(using the wi-fi connections that I have), I was able to succeed on the task, then the new one was to stabilish a network between my axim and the laptop (also has a wi-fi). Ikehiker gave me the link and suggestion to use resco file exp. I install resco and after that when I try to map network a pop up error show that "Network is supported only for PocketPC 2002."
Does this mean that I need a resco for PPc 2003? (I do have axim PPC2003) or something is missing? Updates?
Thank you

You guys gonna kill, after wandering a little bit more here I found the answer!!! And maybe don't need to use resco...I click file explorer from the axim progrs. and click open prompt to ask the name of the path, entered the name of my laptop and....VOILA!!! Now I can see the folder that I'm sharing on the laptop, fantastic!!

The Axim doesn't have the software to enable sharing, so it won't show up on your home network. You can access it's files and folders through ActiveSync which will list the Axim under your PC's My Computer list as Mobile Device (or by clicking the Explore icon in ActiveSync itself).

Understood and thx for all the tips. Two questions: I posted on top about resco file expl. saying network supported only for PPC2002, I was not able to map network, why?
And using the axim file espl. ,do still need resco software?

No, in fact, I don't use Resco. It's just easier to use than typing the path (which sometimes doesn't work for me) and is a better file explorer than the one that comes with the OS. If you can see the files/folders on your laptop from the Axim, then you are good to go. Just in case you still want to try Resco, I'm 99% sure that there is a version of it that is designed to work with WM03.
