The first hour.
I got my X5 400mhz today. All the goodies for it came yesterday. I'm currently one hour into my four hour battery charge. I dare not turn it on till 10:15pm EST.
I dropped it once so far, while plugging in the charger the large heavy part of the power cord slipped from my desk and down went the Axim. Looked like it hit the wall on the way down to the carpet but there isn't any scratches or brokeness. Three hours to go.
When I ordered this I asked the salesperson 3 times if it included the USB cradle, he told me yes 3 times. It didn't come with it. I'm gonna go call dell about it right now, which by itself is always an adventure.
I'll be right back.

you already dropped it....lol....sorry, maybe that's not so funny but at least it was able to handle the fall. Yes, the Axim you ordered should have come with the cradle.
Did the Axim put a dent in your wall? :)

The light on my X5 turned from amber to green, does this mean it's charged? It's only been two hours, is it safe to play with?
I called dell about the cradle. After around 10 minutes of explaining to the girl that answered the phone what a USB cradle was she told me I'd have to buy it if I wanted one. I told her it was included and I already paid for it. She said no where in my order does it say a USB cradle was paid for.
She offered to sell it to me for only $20 (normally like $35). Here is what happens next:
Me: No, I'm not paying again. I will call the salesperson I placed the X5 order with and see why he said it was included.
Her: No, I don't want you to go through the trouble, I will place the order now, hold please...ok?
Now, at this point I was confused. She didn't speak perfect english so you can't focus as much on her words as you do how she said them. I thought she meant send it to me at no charge since it should have been included with my order anyway.
Me: sure, I'll hold.
She came back and gave me a order number and quickly ended the call. Just before we hung up I asked her to email me the order info and she agreed. It's been over an hour and no email has come. The order hasn't shown up on my account page either.
I wonder if she meant she will place the order for $20 or send it to me at no cost? I wonder if she will do anything at all.

I just got that email. She put it in for "free of charge" but that it still needed to be approved by a manager, which still bugs me because when I paid them over $300 last time they told me the cradle was included.

Yes, if the light is green, it is fully charged.

I've been playing with it for a few hours now...installing stuff and configuring. No problems at all. The X5 is pretty badass, I must say. The screen protectors I got from dell suck ass.

Glad you like. You pulled the backing off the protectors right? The bent up corners face up? Just checking we've seen it before LOL.

Yeah, I knew about that before I got it from reading posts on this forum. They tend to get air bubbles no matter how careful you are putting it on.

the screen protecters i ordered from dell weren't the sticky kind. you just slide them under, right. I'm pretty sure that there is nothing to peel, let me check.

The ones Dell sent me are the Belkin ClearScreen Overlays. First you peel off the sticky boarder which has the Belkin logo on it and toss it. Then you peel the rest off of the white paper backing, starting with the top and you line it up on the screen as you peel it.
They included a credit card size cardboard thingy to use to get air bubbles out but I haven't been able to get all of them out.
I'm gonna try a different brand next time.

I ordered the boxwave also, but boy are they expensive! It was $15 or $16 including the $2.50 shipping for 1 protector. The one bad thing is they take a long time to ship out, usually most companies ship stuff out the next business day, for me it was 2 days. I know this is acceptable, however it's not common in this day and age.
Maybe there just backed up with orders for the new X3 protectors.
