I've been following these forums from a long time ago (almost from the start of them) reading the marvels of axim, waiting to be able to get my hands on one... But these little guys will only be available in Portugal next Monday (10/2) and, as the deadline aproaches i'm getting a little too anxious (remember how you fell after waiting 3 weeks for you axim? I'm waiting since last December when I first heard of it) and i'm affraid I make a decision I might regret...
I only had (little) experience with a Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox (since my brother has one) and it is a nice little thing... Considering the cost difference, why would you choose the Axim instead of Loox? Since I'm a newbie, I don't really know if the 48Mb ROM (against the 32 of Loox) is a factor to consider, if the integrated BlueTooth is a best option than simple a CF card or if the removable battery is really a great thing... :(
I just want the Axim for typical PDA functions, plus games (of course) and I'll use it as a development target to learn how to programm these things :-)

Thanks

PS: Sorry for my bad english... I'm portuguese!

I don't know that much about the Loox but the Axim is worth what you pay for it. I don't know how much the Loox is but if you need the bluetooth, then you will have to pay the extra money but I have no need for it so the Axim is fine fo me. The Axim has everything but the Bluetooth at less cost so you can't really go wrong. I have had my Axim for two months now and it works well for me. I have had no problems with it.

The extra ROM helps when you install a lot of programs and the removable battery is a real plus - I had a visor with replaceable batteries and that is a big hassle.

I hope I have helped you on this matter.
