How do you actually close programs?

This may sound stupid, but how do you do it?

You can use the switcher bar that comes on the Axim or download and install Icbar or Wisbar which uses the 'corner X' to actually close the applications.

There is also the hard way - Start ->Settings, System page, memory icon, Running Programs page.

So there is now way to close a program from the program itself?

Cool

I'm not exactly sure if every built-in program has its own "Exit" menu, but in most programs, go to the "File" menu and click "Exit"

A few PPC programs have that capability, but most do not.

Switcher bar is a very usefull tool... you can start this item when you turn you axim on... i read it some where in this forum... there is a thread teach you on how to load this program when you start your axim....And i don't think you will need any other software that will do the same thing install on your Pocket PC because i don't think you want to waste your storage install the application that will do the same job on your PPC...it already pre-installed in your Axim....

PocketFacelift also has the X to close programs option, and I believe it is also a feature of Battery Pack.

I use the built in switcher. Very handy.

Icbar - Much more functional than Switcher, much more functional than simply exiting a program. And, it is FREE:D

Even simpler: Bring up the onscreen keyboard and tap "Control" then "x"

Banana pc is a prog that will allow you to shut down your running programs and can also mute device if you go into a meeting or library or the like. It is easily accessible when using any program right on the control bar.

Seems rather a drastic way to close a program, don't you think?
