That is not a small list :)
First, who is your carrier? Assuming you want to stay with them, that will limit some of your choices. I'll assume TMO or Cingular based on the GSM search :)
Then, think about if you are comfortable getting an unlocked phone, perhaps from overseas or do you want to stay with that your carrier offers.
Some of those models are older, so you can remove some more if you are set on getting the latest models.
Now look at the features, do you want a keyboard? Do you want a keyboard always there or is a sliding one ok?
You should have less than 49 choices after some of those thoughts...see what you have left after that and post it up :)

Yes I have TMO and I am going to stay with them
I really don’t care where the phone come form as longs as it has some kind of warranty I would really like the phone to work on all networks since I travel a lot and don’t know what kind of network I am going to end up in, but if it doesn’t its not a big deal I have other phones that will work in those country and yes I would like to get the latest model but if the old model is better in some way I would not mind getting a old one, the keyboard I don’t really care about I mostly just use the on screen keyboard
thank you
ps: got it down to 47 but you can take out the old hp in there and it will be like 44 Phone Finder results - GSMArena.com

They don't have it there but I had my eye on iPAQ hw6945 for a long time. I have been waiting for it go down but It is just stuck at $600 for the longest time..
Consider that if you want everything in one package.
I also have T-Mo and using their T-Zones. So I always wanted to get this one and use my net on it and GPS but as I said, the price is holding me back. Otherwise i am thinking of switching to Cingular if I can find an authorized retailer that'll give a good price on it.

i just switched from a 6945 to a htc tytn. the aquare screen was really getting to me, as many apps still arnt ported or native to that resolution. i gave up trying to get devs to port their software to the 240x240.
altho the hw6000 series has a square screen, its still a bangin device. gps wifi wm5 (the 6900 series), functional buttons etc. just wish they would do away with agps and go with a better gps with less maintenance (lto updates), and a bit more user memory. the square screen tho, i dunno...
theres a lot of different phones out there with gps wifi speedy processor and are compatable with tmobile/at&t etc (gsm). htc, eten, hp, o2, and some othere which currently escape me, all offer a gps equipped phone. its all a matter of how much you like one over the other.
another thing to consider is whether the new device has the same memory slot (sd vs minisd vs microsd etc) as the device your moving from. otherwise youll also have to look into the purchase of a new card

I am looking for the same sort of thing. I currently have an Ipaq 2755 and am looking for a PDA phone replacement. I agree that the square screen is a problem and would like to have similar options to my ipaq and be able to do all of the things I currently do with it. I was looking at the TMO Wing coming out soon. What do MDA users think of it? Will it do all the things my Ipaq does? Since I have TMO it would be a good fit, but I am also considering a switch to ATT and the 8590 ?? similar phone, but it does not have WIFI which I use at home often.
I also like the O2 but where do you get one?

That HP review was pretty good. Thanks for the link. I never thought the camera would be that bad, it is even worse than my SDA.
I have Axim X5, it is old but it serves its purpose and works great. I wouldn't buy another Pocket PC Phone unless it had 1)GPS built in or had CF 2)WiFi 3)WM5. That's why I wanted to get HP and put everything in one place.
I have a question for those who use 69xx. While you are using GPS, on car maybe on the dash.. if you get a call can you continue using GPS and take the call via Bluetooth and continue driving with GPS and Map on the screen, and keep talking with the headset?
SonyEricsson makes great phones, my biggest complain with their phones is that their microphone is awful. It picks up everything, even the tinyiest noises around. I hated that. I also gives that same pick up to the earpiece, resultin in you hearing what your phone picks up, more than the other side. Their cameras are great.
