I am still very new with my Axim. So far it is great!.
I want to purchase a compact keyboard for this unit. Please let me know if anyone has the manufactures add on keyboard and how it works, etc.

Thanks and Happy New Year everyone.

Dell has its own keyboard and if you don't have too-large hands, it works great.

Closed the keyboard is 5 3/4 inches wide by 3 3/4 inches deep by about 1/2 inch thick. (think calculator size, just stretched a bit)

Open the keyboard measures 9 3/4 inches (my laptop keyboard is 11 1/4 inches for comparison).

It's responsive, easy to install, will take the power adaptor from the Axim (and charge the Axim too). The downside is that they're $99 right now, but if you need it, you need it.

HTH,

Donna

Ok, but I still haven't figured out how to order it outside of choosing it as an option when you order the axim itself. When I ordered my Axim, I didn't think I would want a keyboard, but now I think I do, and I can't find how to purchase it separately.

Do you know?

Thanks!

Call their main number and then go to accessories. When you get a live person on the phone they'll tell you if there's a back order and all the details. I had to do this for the screen protectors, they're still not listed on the Dell site.

Just get the part number from their website, and then call them and tell them that you want to order that part number. That is what I had to do with the extended battery.
