Hi there,

I just had to do a hard reset on my X5 and before my when I set an alarm the unit would turn itself on and play the sound etc., but now since the hard reset the alarm, sound etc. only happens when I power on the unit.

Can someone help me with what I am missing here as I do not keep my Axim on all the time.

You most likely had some software fix for the problem installed prior to your hard reset. It seems to be a known bug. There are several products you can install which will rectify the problem. Do a search on alerts or alarms and you will likely find a thread which already talked that issue flat.

I have heard it said that the death penalty is not enough of a deterrent.
I think that's because it takes too long to be carried out.

Bring back cruel and unusual punishment!
