everythng is working fine but when I click on the contacts shortcut on the bottom or the contacts button in the start menu I get the noise that it was selected but nothing opens.

Try closing all programs first and lauching Contacts or do a soft reset.

are you using switchbar? programs in windows mobile do not close when you hit the X to close it. most programs just minimize off the screen. look on switchbar to see if it is already running or do what dmbandfan22 mentioned and try a soft reset and try again.

just got them back. I do use the switch bar and have been with no problem. I did a soft reboot and it did not help. Then I removed the battery for a second and reinstalled it and it works great . Did not lose any data!
