Lock - how can i turn an axim off so it STAYS off?

You know how you can lock a phone screen?
well, can I do something similar with the Axim?

If I turn the thing off, then put it in case, almost always a button gets pressed accedentally while in the case and the screen turns back on (and files could get accessed - and more - accidentally).

So - can I lock the Axim?

Rob - that's exactly what I was after.
As a technical writer, I do wish that people like Dell would create User Manuals that are comprehensive. O well.
Many thanks

thank you for the information. It also saves the battery on the Axim when it is not turning itself back on!

My X5 kind of does the same thing, but it seems to come back on not because a button is pushed, but because the wi-fi keeps trying to connect...even if the CF card is not inserted. I seem to always take it out of the case and see that it is on and the message "unable to connect, click settings blah, blah, blah".

Will the solution above fix my problem too?

It just makes it so when it is off the buttons won't wake it up and start the application. Once it is on, the buttons will work as advertised.

joop88--I think you will have to make sure you close all running programs when you are finished with your wi-fi sessions.

Hey Joop... Mine was doing the same thing until I turned off auto send/receive in outlook pocket. It was connecting every minute and used my whole standard battery in less then a day yesterday. After half a day today it's still 90% charged and I'm using it more today then yesterday

is there a way to stop it from waking up to tell you your outlook reminders?

You may also need to open activesync on your axim
Tools>Options>Schedule and uncheck everything.
This solved the problem on my X5
