Does the Axim have a PCMCIA slot? I've seen tons of PCMCIA adapters on e-bay, but don't know if the Axim can support these. How can I use an external USB hard drive with the Axim?

Second, I'm interested in viewing (previewing) images on the axim. Is the screen quality high enough to judge sharpness from a high end digital camera or should I look at something else?

TIA,

Troy

The Axim does not have a PCMCIA slot. It may be able to use some PCMCIA peripherals by way of a PCMCIA-to-CompactFlash Adapter.

You cannot use an external USB hard drive with the Axim. Both are USB devices, designed to be connect to a USB host. The Axim does not function as a USB host.

The screen quality is high enough to judge sharpness from a high-end digital camera if you don't mind scrolling through the image, one small section at a time.

Thanks for the prompt response. Just the info I was looking for, although not what I wanted to hear :(

Thanks just the same.

Yes, the adapter would fit the bill nicely. It sounds like it will be a month before it is available though. Hopefully, it won't be $100 either!

Thanks for the tip.
