Hi...just uninstalled a mp3 players from my Axim...and now all my mp3's on compact flash card have that generic looking windows icon (was previously the icon of the mp3 player, and before that the windows media player icon). When I click on them it says the file can't be found, yet I can play them from within windows media player.

I have tried performing a soft reset and removing the compact flash card. Same problem!

Any help appreciated...

You need to re-establish the file association for media player, or whatever you want to be the default player. An aftermarket file explorer app will let you do this, so maybe find one with a free trial?
I use DEXplore, and others use RESCO explorer. I don't thing the generic file explorer does this function.

A hard reset will also do it for sure, but that's a little harsh for this.
