:( I read a post talking about Dell tech having a list of software and virus protection that interfered with sync or intellisync finding Axim. Does anyone know whats on this list to avoid 1.5 hour phone call?

I heard people saying their firewall was preventing the communication... ZoneAlarm, BlackICE, etc. If you're using one of these programs, try monitoring it live when you do a Sync, make note of the port(s) being used, open them up, then try again.

I use Norton Internet Security (includes a software firewall). It did detect ActiveSynch activity. I set it wide open for ActiveSynch & had no further problems.

It doesn't hurt to disable firewalls when debugging connections.

I think I may be having a Norton A.V. problem when I sync as well. (I use Corp Edition at home)
Could you please explain what you mean by, "I set it wide open for ActiveSynch..." ?
I'm learning, but still not too technical.
