Can I install software for windows xp on windows ce?

I was wondering if I could install software designed for windows xp/2000 etc on my Axim x5?

The reason why I want to do this is because my network provides VPN software for free, but suggests that we use movian (which I have been reading does not work with 2003). So to get around all of this, I was wanting to try to install the VPN software designed for Xp.

What do you guys think?
Thanks!

unless they have a windows ce version i don't think it will work...wibdows ce and xp are differnt os types...and how many mb of space do you need to run the program on xp..and how much ram is needed...usually you would not have enough space on your ax to even hold the program let alone run it....I am not sure and i am sure someone more in the know them myself...will answer you soon...but you might not need any software for your ax to excess your vpn....should be able to do it thru your wifi or dialup...but once again i am not to sure about that...try doing a search in the forums on vpn and see what you come up with

Nope. You can only use software designed for CE.

Certicom is now listing WM2003 on their compatibility list for MovianVPN. Click Here For Link. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and it now lists PocketPC 2003 (aka WM2003) on their system requirements.

I have not tried it yet on WM2003, so you might want to check out a demo of it before buying it.
