How can I read my books that or on the cf card I have Put about 24 on it help me

Welcome to Aximsite!

If your books are in the .lit format, you should be able to use Microsoft Reader. First, you should also make sure you have the latest version of the Reader which is 2.2.2. I believe. If you're not sure, check here. Just make sure you download into Main Memory and NOT onto your memory cards. Then, you need to go here to activate it.

Post back if you have troubles. Or do a search...there are many threads about Microsoft Reader activation.

for me, i have to put my books in my documents on the axim or ms reader dosent see it. I dont know why but i really dont use ms reader that much (only for the dictionary:))

why? running my ms reader (latest version) off of sd card. works like a champ. running X5 basic with wm2003 upgrade. the only "glitch" is that if you downloaded the free books they are tagged so that only you can use them on your personal ppc or pc.

I have a folder called Ebooks in my SD card and Reader has no problems finding them.

Perhaps it is different with WM2003 (I have not activated my X3i yet), but I remember quite well that if the reader was installed on a memory card in PPC2002, the shortcuts would not link properly.

You may have to create a "My Documents" folder on the CF card before MS Reader will scan it. Many of the Microsoft PPC apps will not by default look at the various storage media if a "My Documents" folder doesn't exist.

Don't know for sure this will fix you problem, but worth a shot.

I will try making a new folder and see if that works, dosent matter that much because i only use a dictionary in ms reader:)

Hmmm. . . my ebooks are just in a folder titled "ebooks" so that shouldn't be the problem. Definitely make sure the files are .lit.

i got it to work using an ebook folder on my cf card.

so i think all you have to do is make a folder called ebook on your card and put your books in it and you should be all set:)
