Hi Gigi and grentz,

Thanks for the replies. I forgot to mention I had already setup the ad-hoc and I am able to ping each other. But I am not able to figure out how to transfer the file now. Should I install other applications (like ftp server/client) to do this and is there a simpler way to do this ?

Thanks,
sudi

I like the idea of using a ftp server/client since it works with most people. I think people also say that you can use ms portrait or something of that sort. Never tried it though.

Right now you can't use MS Portrait for anything because a version containing the Oct 15 security update is not yet available.

Yep, FTP or HTTP is probably your best bet.
