problems with AvantGo with x5

hello to all! i am new to this site and I have recently traded in my old palm m515 for an Axim x5-300 running PocketPC 2003 (straight from factory not upgrade)...my first impressions of the x5 are amazing! ..i am having one small problem with getting the Avantgo software to work! the Avantgo software is supposedly built in to the ActiSunc software supplied with the unit acording to Avantgo.com but when i go to the options menu in ActiSync..i do not see the icon for Avantgo...i have tried re-intsalling the software but still no luck.....has any one else had this problem??

any help would be greatly appreciated..thanks!

When you're connected to the net, whether by ActiveSync passthrough or by other means, go into Start, Settings, Connections, AvantGo Connect, and tap the 'Sync All' button. Of course, you'll have to have subscribed to some AvantGo channels...

If that doesn't do the trick, tap the 'Properties' button and make sure it's set as follows:
Hostname: sync.avantgo.com
Port: 80
Username and password: exactly as originally typed into the AvantGo website when you subscribed.
Connect to this server: [checked]
Refresh all content at next sync: [checked if you don't want to sync AvantGo content manually all the time]

Syncing AvantGo shouldn't slow down the ActiveSyncing of your other data, but might slow things down if you're syncing and installing/removing programs at the same time. In this case, you might want to turn this last option off and sync AvantGo manually.
