My Axim just arrived yesterday, and it's amazing. Until I get my wireless gear purchased and set up, I'd like to be able to map network drives while connected with the USB sync cable. I've got a directory shared on my PC so that everyone has read access. (tested and it works from another computer on the network.) But I can't see the share from the Axim. All I get is "Cannot map network path. Network resource cannot be found." As far as I can tell, it's not seeing the computer at all, since Pocket IE can't even surf to a webserver that I've got running on the computer. I've tried netrunner, rescoe explorer, pocket explorer.... Any suggestions?

you might need to change the device id in the about properties. I found renaming my AX to something without the underscore got me up and running to network shares. However i did this with my wireless CF installed. I havent tried it with active sync... but worth a shot
