Windows Media Player

Hi,
I have a year old axim running Pocket PC 2002 with windows media player 8.5

I transferred a .wmv file I created in Windows Movie Maker to my Pocket PC,and I can not see the video. I hear the audio no problem, but the video does not display.

Am I missing something?

any help is appreciated

Thanks

More than likely your video you encoded was encoded with wm9 codec ,which ppc2002 is not compatible. Try and use WMEncoder 7.1 or better yet convert your videos to Divx and play it through PocketMVP with 10 times better quality. I have Guides at my website on how to do this with all the links and tools needed... BigDs Video Guides

k i have a little problem with this too... i encoded a wmv using vbr video and audio (WMV9) and it plays fine on my pc's WMP9. on ym ppc2003 axim, wmp tells me its also the wmp9 series. at specific points on the video, wmp crashes and kicks me back to the today screen, or whatever was open at the time. the start menu also disappears.

about divx on pocketmvp2003, framerates are really slow. a divx (320x160) was encoded at 12fps. it played at 6.
the wmv i used (that crashed) was encoded at 30fps at 320x160 and there were no noticeable slowdowns.

what do u suggest?

Did you download the pocketmvp player from the link I have on my site? If not, you might not have the right player. Also did you use my divx encoding guide? And decimate the frame rate by 2.
