General Info
Is there a good website that would explain some of the following:

1) How do you see what files are in RAM vs ROM
2) Says I'm using 0.15MB ROM (Never installed anything there?) and the file explorer shows nothing there.
3) If you delete a system file or screw up the os is there a way to reload the os? (not that I've done this)

Thanks in advance!

A freeware program called 'where is my RAM' will tell you what's where.

1. Total Commander will let you look at the properties of files. Generally, the files in ROM will be write protected, the files in RAM willl be read/write.
2. By ROM I guess you mean Built-In Storage in this question. There may be some small overhead in BIS for the directory structure.
3. A hard reset restores the OS to what is in ROM (as shipped from the factory or as you have updated with the update CDROMs). You can't delete the important system files, they are in the ROM you can't use, but you can put in a file with the same name and create a problem. A hard reset will delete everything and set the Ax back to the factory state.

Thanks for the responses!

Too bad it isn't that easy to "reinstall" the OS on a computer! (Hard reset... done!)

I was thinking of getting a 1GIG microdrive for my Axim, but wanted to know if that was the max. size available to use. I read on a site somewhere that you could only go up to 1GIG on the CF slot. I see here other people using CF drives larger than 1GIG

there is not limit to the size of the card. several axim X5 owners use a 2.2GB microdrive. there is an increase in power usage from microdrives over the standard flash memory.
