recording music - please bear with me!

This seems to be common knowledge to all but me. How do I begin to copy my music CDs to my laptop and then to a CF card or SD? Is there a very basic tutorial out there? Do I need additional equipment besides a pc?

No Problem!:D

1. Insert the audio CD into your drive.
2. Next, use your CD-burning software to convert the audio tracks to a file (I use Roxio Easy CD Creator to do this).
Note: .WAV files will play back using "Notes", and .MP3 files will play back using Windows Media Player.
3. After you have converted all the files that you want, select them and copy them to the clipboard.
4. Connect your Axim to your computer.
5. Double-click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop.
6. Double click the "My Pocket PC" icon in the window that appears.
7. Now, find the folder that you want to place the files in, and paste the files to that folder.
8. To play a song, find the folder on your Axim and simple tap it.

Take a look at this tutorial. Obviously skip the last part about putting the music on a device with Music Match.
