Connecting to my ISP
I am triing to connect my X5 to my ISP through my Cellular phone. I purchased a cable from "thesupplynet.com" to connect the X5 to my cell phone (Kyocera 2325). I followed all the provided instructions, and some that were not provided, and finnally got the X5 to call my ISP, however after 30 sec. I get hung-up and a message display that my "user name or password" are bad. I know the user name and password are correct. Anybody know anything I can do to correct the probley.
P.S. I just spent 4 hours with Dell, and I can tell you for a fact, that no one there knows anything.

What ISP do you have? Some of the cheaper ones require you to use their dialing software (I believe NetZero is one example) and if you don't their network will not allow your username/password to connect.

Have you tried asking your ISP if there are any special settings you need?

I Talked with My ISP, and they gave me some DNS numbers to use, but said that it should work under " use server-assigned addresses". I was able to take my cell phone and connect to my desk-top computer "using a connective cable, make a modem connection and my desk-top computer connected just fine. My X5 callde the surver, and the server answered. If I checked the "use terminal after connecting" box, a terminal would pop-up saying " Weclome to "My ISP's name" enter user name and password. But when I put in my user name and password, a screan would come back saying "Bad user name or Password" but the user name and Password are OK.
