Downloading zip file problem

I have been trying to download some zip files to my desktop to install on my dell axim but when they show up in my sync folder they are in exel format and winzip will not open them. Exe downloads work fine. I'm running Win 2000 Pro. Any suggestions.

Not sure why you are putting them in the sync folder. Most zipped files need to be unzipped on the PC and if they contain executable files, usually run on the PC for installation to the PPC so there's no need to put them in the synced folder. If they contain *.cab files, then those get copied/moved to the PPC and executed there.

Sounds like the file association is changed on your pc. Go into your folder options and go to file types, scroll down to the zip extension and see what application is associated with it.
