so, What's the bad news?

I am thinking of upgrading to an Axim from a Palm Vx. I will say that in the past 3 years I have had no issues with the Palm. I know the Axim run circles around the old extinct Palms but
what the bad news? what are the biggest problems?
can anbody list the problems they have had.
I am sold on the idea of getting an Axim, Dell has a 10% off till tuesday. but I still want to hear the bad side as well as the good stuff.
thanks,

Hmmm ... Nope! Sorry. Can't think of anything.
I havn't had any problems with my unit.

That's not to say that there are no limits to the PPC02 system.
It's a problem that it doesn't run at 2ghz.

The only bad news is having to do a soft reset once in a while. Remember this is a Microsoft O/S... I never had to reset my IIIx but once in the 3+ years I've had it...

But that was then...

The benefits of the Axim/PocketPC platform faaaar outwweigh the negatives. 15 seconds (soft reset time) is nuthin' compared to the fun (err... productivity) you'll experience.

Go for it.

The bad news is that you'll have a long and frustrating wait between ordering the Axim and actually recieving it. Other than that, no problems at all!

I have a NR70 :) that I love, but I can honestly say that I love my Axim even more  . There are so many neat things that you can do with it. It is my first PPC and so far the worst thing about it was a messed up navigational pad. I did get a replacement and so far so good.
*Just hope you don't have to contact Dell tech support.

My 0.02c

The bad news would be that the PPC and the Palm are very different beasts. You have to realized that you are not simply getting the next organizer, the PPC has a different objective. Not to say one is better than the other, you just have to realize what you are going to get a machine with different capabilities. It isn't so much an upgrade as a paradigm shift.
