If I'm not mistaken you can only move one contact at a time. You can not beam your entire address book across for its a locked item on the Palm device. At least you've been success full beaming from your Palm to the Axim, for all I get is an error that it can't find a device to beam to.

Hopefully this answered your question.

You can't beam it, but you can transfer it all at once. Use PocketMirror from the Palm CD to sync the Palm Vx to Outlook, then sync the Axim with outlook.

I had the same problem tranferring contacts over. You need software to do it all at once. I did it one at a tim. It took a while but it worked. I got the "looking for devise" message in the begining too. What helped was opening beam receive in the Axim the aligning the ports clode together(3 or 4 inches) remember that the Axim's is offset from center. Once you have a connection, just keep going without leaving beam. Its easier if you don't have to re-acquire. Remember, I'm a newbie. But I did get this accomplished, one small victory.

I don't have a Palm CD to tell you where it is, but other ex-Palmers might be able to help. I also think that if you google on Pocketmirror you can download a trial version of the software. On another post I read that it will work for two weeks, which should allow you to make the transfer. Sorry I can't help more.
