Question Internet using ActiveSync PassThru

I am trying to use Pocket IE on my Axim X5 to browse the Internet using the ActiveSync PassThru function and need help.

The Axim is connected to my PC thru USB cable. The PC is connected to a LinkSys Broadband router which is connected to a Motorola SurfBoard cable modem.

I have ActiveSync 3.5 installed and configured. I able to sync calendar between the PDA and Outlook. I have ActiveSync set to use the "Work" connection for PassThru.

I also have "Allow network (Ethernet) and RAS server connection with this desktop computer" enabled in ActiveSync.

On the PDA, I have the default settings for the "Work" connection.

On the PDA, I have tried setting the network card connection to "Work" and "Internet" and neither one works.

Do I need to change the "Work" connection settings on the PDA?

Leave the setting on "work".
Sounds like you have all your settings correct.
I had same problem when new, Dell Techs assisting, after a couple of Soft Resets on the Axim and a Cold Boot on your desktop - all worked well.
If you hav'nt did a soft reset yet - try it.
