Can't you just move it over to the Axim with Activesynch and then play it?

no i have tried that and WMP cannot even find the file because it does not show as a playable file. it shows up in file explorer but as an file that needs to be opened with another program. i really don't have the first clue how to do this.

Interesting, I just copy my MPEGS over from my PC on to my CF card and they play fine. Or at least I used to. I haven't actually played an MPEG on mine for a while. I have a couple of product videos om my PC. Let my try and copy one over right now and I'll let you know what happens.

Okay, you're right it doesn't work! (Just what you needed me to tell you right?) It seems that WMP9 doesn't support MPEG on Pocket PC. I did get them to play using Pocket TV though. SO now I'm going to go see what you need to do to get them to work in WMP. I guess we have to change them to an .avi format or something.

Okay, I got it working but its ugly. I took the MPEG file and imprted it into Windows Movie Maker. Copied all the clips into a timeline/storyboard and then created a new movie in .wmv format. Copied it to my SD card and it plays like a champ. In addition it went from 4.88megs to only 1.08megs and the video and audio are just as good.

Its pretty easy really. When you import the MPEG it'll be split up into "clips." Probably the program does it based on scenes or time or some such. Just take the clips and drag them in numerical order into the "filmstrip" at the bottom of the screen. This creates a "storyboard or Timeline". Then go back up to file and select save movie as fill out the data block and then save the film as a .wmv file type. If you need more help email me at srf506@yahoo.com tonight and I'll try and step you through it. Good luck.

Cool, it does seem to work better at high resolution. I would have to believe there is an easier way than that to make WMP play an MPEG, but at least this will get it to work. I swear I used to use WMP 7.1 or some such without having to do this, but like I aso said I don't play MPEGs too often on my Axim.
