Advice on purchasing a WLAN CF card Please
I wanted to ask the advice of anybody that can help. My roomate went ahead and purchased a 802.11a wireless access point w/out mentioning it to me. This is great for speeds I understand but after researching I have come to realise that 802.11a is not popular among PocketPC users. With that said and done I have a couple questions:

Are there any good 802.11a CF cards for an Axim X5?

Would it be better to just buy a cheap 802.11b and/or 802.11g router so that way I can buy that Socket 802.11b card?

Are there any known capatibilties between 802.11a and 802.11b?

And finally are there any known conflicts between 802.11a and b on the same network?

Thank you in advance for any advice that you may think is helpfull.

No conflicts. Different frequencies. a is 5GHz and b is 2.4GHz.

No 802.11a CF card available today. Don't hold your breath.

I don't think there really was a reason. It was probably on sale or something. One day I walked in the door and saw it next to my router.

The G access point was the step that I was pretty sure I would have to take, although the more expensive way. Correct me if I am wrong but it is also my understanding that G is perfectly compatible with B. If this is true I am assuming a set up with a G access point with a B card in the Axim should do the trick.

If this is true is there a prefered set up that people have found successful (i.e. brand and model of access points and CF cards)
