Either media type is fine for MP3 playback. I suggest spending a little more for SD memory so you can save your CF slot for modem, networking, presentation, camera, etc.

Well CF comes in Type I and Type II both of which the Axim supports, CF si usually cheaper and bigger. SD is very small adn thin and more expensive, however many ppl do what I did and ge a small SD card to put in and leave in the axim and install *all* my apps into it so that I can have my CF slot avaliable for CF cards (I usually save this for all my media), CF accessories, like wireless cards, etc. I'd reccommend a SD card of at least 128 MB. I've never noticed a difference in quality or speed of playback of media from the SD or CF.

I leave the built-in memory as empty as possible so that the Axim can use it for running apps and things like that.

You can get a large CF cards for cheap online I got a 256 MB CF card on ebay for like 35 bucks, and if you plan on putting alot of mp3s and media like video clips on the Axim I reccommend a CF card thats at least 256 MB.

SD vs CF

Too many choices, I will have to wait, my unit is not shipping until 2/27/03. Dell had a sale that ended today online for $314.00 THanks NMkiD for your input as well.
