.AVI on Axim

I have several .avi files on my desktop. Most are dvd quality of around 700mb. when they are transfered to the pocket pc player are the compressed into smaller files? im trying to decide on what size cf or sd card i will need for full length movies.

Those raw files will have to be resampled and compressed.

As I posted in another thread, I got half of LOTR down to 170MB. I used the guild at http://www.pocketmatrix.com/guides/dvd2divx/#ripping

Thanks for the advise. I followed the pocketmatrix site and got the jist of the compression process. The only prob i ran into was that the DUB program would stop @ 77% of the movie and tell me i had an error. Dont really know why. But the 77% that did compress, looked good. Thanks!!! Hopefully someone may know the prob with the error?????
