Actually, the Targus wireless keyboard has a built-in mouse-type navigation device. It's not a true mouse, nor a touchpad. It's more like the "joystick" type mouse that used to be found on many Toshiba laptops. I've attached a picture of it from their website....
Here is a link to it for $55.79 at Amazon: Click Here
I'm not positive if it works with the X3/X3i or not, but I would imagine that it should work fine. Their website shows that it works fine with the X5 running WM2003, but their compatibility list hasn't been updated since the X3/X3i have been released. There's no reason that it shouldn't work though, since Targus obviously has WM2003 drivers available.

"Using the Keyboard Mouse
With the IR keyboard’s 8-way navigation button, you can control
the cursor’s movement and tap items on your PDA’s screen—all
“stylus-free.”
Press the arrows on the navigation button to move the cursor
across the PDA’s screen. To “tap” an on-screen option, press the
check mark key on the IR keyboard. To “tap and hold” an
on-screen option, press and hold the check mark key on the IR
keyboard."
So, it sounds like it might come with it's own "mouse" that it puts on the Screen? Doesn't seem likely, since it's a "Universal" Keyboard that includes Palm & Cell Phone connectivity.

Yes, it does come with a mouse looking icon thingy (I am not sure what to call it) that is on the screen so you can see where it is. The little button to the right is a selection button, sort of like a left click on a mouse. I owned this keyboard briefly (found a much cheaper one, so I returned it), and I liked the mouse but I found it was almost easier and quicker to just use the stylus. I think a touchpad type mouse would be pretty cool on a keyboard.

I am actually using my Targus keyboard on my axim x5 right now! the mouse thing works great and it is actually a mouse. The mouse is actually the reason i bought the keyboard, lol.

I found it annoyng and I agree with Smeg that it's easyer to use the stylus.
Plus that keyboard doesn't have arrowkeys! Every time you want to go back and correct something you have to tap or move the damn mouse, which takes you forever.
Mine is back to the store too.

Uhmmm, it's hard to explain.
The thing I don't like is the fact that the button is kind hard to press, difficult to move precisely.
Somehow the problem is analog to the pad onn the X5. It's not very precise.
The point is that everything is so tiny on the screen that you need to clik in very precise point to do what you want to do.
And it takes forever to point in the exact position.
Increasing the speed of the mouse doesn't make any good. I will still keep going back and forth a few times over the point I'm trying to reach.
That's only my 2c.

try navigating with cursor/arrow keys instead then. no need to be so exact that way. and in PIE you can cycle through the links on the page with the tab key (tab goes forward, shift+tab goes backwards).
You got me wrong. I don't have that keyboard anymore.
So I'm not trying to find a way to use it.
I sent it back and got a MicroInnovation one.
It's quite smaller and I'm very happy about it. It's also lighter and uses a regular AAA battery instead of those two button.
It's also about 3 times cheaper.
I was just debating to offer an extra point of view (^_^).
Also apparently in the last few days there are at least a couple of posts a day asking about keyboards, mouse, belkin, targus....
Probably we should make a review or something.
But it's also true that the general opinion is very controversial.
It's like cases... everybody has found the best one for his own pourpose and he would sell it like gold to the others.
Hopefully in a while people will learn to use the SEARCH button before asking a question. :-)
In the meanwhile I don't mind sharing my experience.
