when you choose what file to rip from the dvd you have to choose the track that includes subtitles. i would recomend using smart ripper as it gives you lots of options to choose from. you can even choose the tracks that are in different languages if you woul like to study up on your spanish.

i am also looking for a player for the PockectPc or a program which supports subtitles.
You have no subtitles because pocketMVP don't support them, I guess. there is nothing you can do.Well...you could create a program which does or ask the creators of PocketMVP to think about it.

I'll look into it. I run an internet subtitling site ( http://www.captionkit.com ) so I should be able to find at least one solution.
The only one I know works is PocketCaptionKit which is the WAP version of my site. Unfortunately of course, WAP does text only, not video so its the worst of both worlds - timed subtitles but nothing to watch ;-) Useful if you want to review a presentation on the move though. I'm assuming real player doesn't do subtitles either - tests on the BBC website suggest it doesn't support SMIL which is what I use to generate the real player & quicktime subs on captionkit. O well. Cheers - Neil.
