Sorry, I didn't see the last message.

Yes, the Axim gets all the password settings and so on, just like any other dialup computer. The phone just gets passed the ISP's phone number from the Axim, and acts exactly like a modem.

So, yes, you can use the mobile as a modem to connect to your ISP. I've done this a couple of times form the park near us when I'm out of range of my wifi access point ;-)

Cheers - Neil

Bluetooth

I have cable internet.I ordered a bluetooth enabling thingy from Dell that connects into an usb port on my my home pc.My Axim
30x is also bluetooth/wireless enabled. How would I go about connecting to the internet through my pc/cable modem?Or will this even be possible. If it is possible would I be able to use bluetooth away from my home pc?Are there other places that I can hook up to the internet with my Axim.I'm new to this bluetooth thingy and I guess I don't get how I can get on the internet with it.

Yes, it's definitely possible to connect to the Internet using BT at home and away, but you need to enable Internet Connection Sharing and configure your settings. If you have specific questions, it's best to post in the Wireless Communications forum.

It's best to check with your ISP.

Actually, there is a little note under the Audio player table explaining why it was intentionally omitted. :)

Hey, that is great! I'm not sure if it's an Axim-related issue though; there are many threads where people have reported troubles with it.

Actually, I am currently in the middle of updating all my tutorials, so if there are any suggestions/comments, etc., now would be a great time. :)

BTW, welcome to Aximsite!

Hello, I recently purchased an x50v and since I've receved it, sometimes when I take it from the cradle to turn it on, it does not work. The only thing that works is to remove the battery and reinstall it, then it comes on with a reboot botton to push, once done everything works great. How can I fit this problem. The battery is alway fully charged when this happens. Any suggestions?

Are you giving the power button a quick press to turn it on? Pressing and holding for longer will just turn on/off the backlight, but not power it on/off. Also, have you tried a soft reset? (The reset hole is at the back.)

Hello i'm a new aximite, i have x51v 624mHZ. I also have the motorola razar. Now i want to be able to look up contacts on my axium and via BT (Bluetooth) would like to make calls to those contacts. Is this possible? I know w/ palm, they had a program, that recognized the phone, and allowed me to look up my contacts on my palm, n if i clicked it twice, it would automatically dial the number on my phone. So any info. would help. thanks
