Which accessories should I buy?

I'm planning to order the 400MHz model this week and would like to know if I should order some accesories at the same time.

I was specifically thinking of:

1. USB travel sync cable: Do I need this if I'm only syncing on my home PC and not at work?

2. Stylus: Will the supplied sylus last long? Can I use any brand stylus? Can I use a pen or something like that if I'm desperate?

3. Leather case: I know the unit comes with some sort of supplied case, but is it any good? Do I need a better one?

Any other accessory suggestions?

Thanks!

Gigi

You'll definitely want a different case. The supplied case is good enough to protect the device, but it has no clip, belt hook, or anything. You only choice is to carry it around in your hand ( it adds quite a bit to the bulk of the axim), or put it in a purse, briefcase, etc.

The 400 comes with a cradle so if you only plan to sync at home you will be all set.
The stylus it comes with is flat instead of round and I dont like it that much. You can use any PDA stylus but they probably wont fit in the Axim stylus slot. DON'T USE A PEN!!! Don't risk scratching the screen. I use a 3 in 1 pen/pencil/stylus. I agree with the previous post on the case.

Oh yeah, if you really want to know what accesory to buy, those items are no match for a nice SD card!

Thanks for the replies so far.

I already plan on getting SD/CF cards and screen protectors, but I'm going to do so elsewhere as I know Dell's prices on memory are higher and their brand of screen protectors are not so great.

Definately buy a SD card, hold off on a CF card until you know if you will want to use WiFi. Also, since you probably have some time before your Ax arrives, shop around for a while, deals seem to pop up at the end of a month. And check the Dell site frequently, sometimes they have the best price on memory, but the deals don't last long.

You should also have some type of screen protector before your Ax arrives. Put one on as soon as you get it. I am using transparencies for now, but will probably buy something better later.

P.S. - I like the Dell stylus!
