Backing up data

I tried to backup data using the Data Backup program and when I try to run it says I don't have enough memory on the card. When I look in the memory under settings storage memory shows 30MB allocated and 33MB allocated to program. My storage card shows 81MB free.
Why won't it save to the card?

Thanks in advance for the help.

In the Back Up Utility the Backup tab has a drop down box that allows you to select BIS (Built in Storage) or Storage Card. Make sure you have selected the right option and you shouldn't have any difficultu performing the backup.
Alternatively (my preferred method) is to bacjk up to my pc via Activesync. You can configure manual or automatic backups via the Tools menu in the Activsync programme.

DUH!
What an idiot!
I'm going to use the back up thru Activsync as you suggested Jogga.
If I did a hard reset could I put it all back thru a restore?
Just thinking if I ever had a serious problem is that the way I could do it? Or even if I ever had to replace the X3.

Thanks again!

Chris

Yes.

When you do a hard reset, please the device in the cradle. When it asks you to create a partnership choose to connect as guest. Then you can use Activesync restore to restore your backup to the Ax. After the restore is complete do a soft reset and your all set.

You're not an idiot! The questions are always easier when you know the answers!
You can restore from Activsync if you have to do a hard reset. A tip: after a hard reset, you must ensure that the Regional Settings are set to the original configuration before Activsync will recognize your device. if you don't you will not be able to restore. (Settings, System tab, Regional Settings).
Another tip: you may want to consider backing up to an SD card as well as Activsync in case you get in to trouble away from your host pc.
