Hmm Problems with ActiveSync

Hi Everyone

I have problemes getting ActiveSync to work.I disabled it for a while to add a new modems connection with my cell phone to connect to the internet then I had it working a couple of times whenever I sat it on the cradle. Now when I go to enable it it tells me on the palm in the activeSync window (Errors) then the date when it happened,I click on the errors to see the info and it says unable to connect and to verify that your dailup or proxy settings are correct.Does this have anything to do with adding a new connection with my cell?I did a re-install of the whole program that came with the axim but nothing still.Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Christian

Had exact same problem after setting up some modem numbers as I was going out of town.
Anyway - after emailing Dell Tech and finally calling them, the only fix was to do a Hard Reset and all worked well.
However, I was able to do a back up via wireless card first, and then do a restore after it was fixed. If you do not have a wirelss card, back up data to either a SD card or to "built in memory".
Email me if more questions on how to.

Good Luck

Getting back to basics is straightforward; as Mike has indicated a Hard reset might do the trick but you must back up your data first. If you can't use Activesync use the in buit backup:
Start, Programmes, Data Backup
You'll need to select "Backup all data"
and in the Backup dropdown box select either:
Built-in Storage or Storage Card.
After you have backed up yur data you can perform a hard reset and restore your machine to its original condition.
To restore: follow the Backup procedure above but once you reach the backup screen tap the Restore tab at the bottom of the screen and follow the instructions.
