Screen Doesn't Shut Off While Charging?

I have a small little problem that I'm sure can be fixed. When my computer is off, and I have my Ax in the cradle, the screen constantly stays on while charging. Is there anyway to fix this?

Does it go off when you click on the power button in the cradle? If it does, but then comes back on, take it out of the cradle and run Activesync. Under Tools, Options, Schedule, uncheck the top two boxes and it will stop waking up to check for sync.

Read the thread I offered. It seems like there is no fix. Sorry... :p

It won't turn itself off while connected via USB. It you insist on having it be off, you need to unplug the USB connection. However, I wouldn't worry about it. THe device is continuously charging until it's full while in the cradle, and then stops charging. No damage is done to the battery, and you can go about your business...

Much easier if you can use a front panel USB socket.

I just did a test. I shut down my PC, then turned off the Ax and left it in the cradle. Waited over an hour. It never came on. I have the two boxes I talked about unchecked, and I have Activesync set to sync only manually, not automatically. I think that combination will let you turn the Ax off and leave the USB connected without problems.

My system is a Dell 8200, WinXP Home, Cradle is plugged into a front USB port.
