Half the time when I sync it defaults to guest, and then I can not sync. Help. My ActiveSync is version 3.5. I do not have a guest set up.

This is usually a sign of a bad or noisy connection.
Make sure the Axim is fully seated in the cradle (if you have one) or that the sync cable is mated properly. Wiggle it around a bit, without bending anything, and push it together firmly.

That is sometimes enough, but you must also try different USB sockets on your PC if problems persist.

One user posted that they gave up at this point and purchased a very inexpensive USB 2 expansion card for their PC and it solved everything. Let us know if anything helped.
