I just got my Axim, but twice now when I turn it on it asks me if I want to format my SD card. This of course wipes out anything on it. Is the card just plain bad? I got it from Dell and I've read some threads talking about the dependability of the Sandisk cards, I guess I'm a victim of it, or am I doing something wrong?

Try and take it back. It seems some don't work really well in Axims. Or there is alway Ebay. I have a SanDisk card myself and have never had trouble, but I'd never recommend it to others.

You might also take the SD card to a local computer store and have them try it in some other machines. Maybe even format it for you in another system and give that a try to see if it is more stable. I also have SanDisk and have no problems, but I have seen a lot of complaints.

If no local store, or no luck, then call Dell and get a replacement or return it and buy some other brand.
