Setting up e mail and wi fi, new x3i
I just received my x3i and am setting things up. Let me be clear I an NOT a techie, I would like to go to a hotspot and "connect" What do I have to do first? How do I setup my e mail account? If I receive my e mail on my axim will it also go to my home PC?
I read the manual and I am "Clueless in Pittsburgh"
Thank you

If you are at a free public hotspot, your Axim should find it automatically and you are in business. Be patient, it may take a few moments. If you are at a paid hotspot (T-Mobile, etc.), you need to set up an account with the provider. Your Axim will find the connection, you enter your ID and password, and you are in. I read and send my e-mail on my Axim through my ISP's home page. You can download your e-mail for reading from Outlook if you check that option in ActiveSync. Perhaps someone else who uses that option should explain how that works. I am not well-acquainted with that procedure. You can set up your e-mail on your computer through Options, to keep it on your server so that you can download it on multiple devices. It will stay on your server until deleted from all devices.

lzampogna,
If you have a POP3 or IMAP4 you can set up your Axim to download the email directly from your email server. Select the Inbox program, tap on Accounts, New Accounts..., and fill in the correct information. Any email downloaded to the PPC will remain on the server (AFAIK, there is no way to not do this).

I am a newbie to Wi-fi.
Lets say I am at a free hotspot. I push the wifi enanble button. What can I expect and what do I need to connect? If I have a email account (hotmail, netzero), can I email from this hotspot? What info do I need to do that?
Please respond soon. Thank you.

After you enable wifi button, look to the bottom right corner fro a bar scale(power scale) if its color light green you know you have a hit, go to start>drop down menu>internet explorer>favorites to menu bar at top.
You can also tap on the power scale, press site survey, and find out your power etc.
