Worried Outlook2000/Otlook Express question

I'll make this newbie question simple:

- Was using a Palm and Outlook Express
- Got my new Axim and sold my Palm (yea!)
- Loaded Outlook 2000 and sync'ed to Axim (and cleaned up contacts etc).
- I'm now using Outlook 2000 and everything is fine.

Can I now delete Outlook Express. Both are on my desktop (I know I can just delete the shortcut but I'd like to free up the space from the actual app). When I look at my control panel/add remove programs, I don't see Outlook Express as an option to remove. It appears like I could use Norton Clean Sweep to remove it.

I dont want to mess up the contacts, appointments, and existing email in my new Outlook 2000. Do they share the same data/databases?

Share with me any thoughts

The two programs are in different directories. The address book for Outlook Express is stored within Program Files/Outlook Express... so I'd assume they have their own, independent address book files. IMO it'd be safe to remove Outlook Express... but just to be safe, back up the address book file first.

Back up your address book (just in case) ... search for *.wab. In XP, use Add or Remove Programs\ Add/Remove Windows Components\ to unistall OE.
